    This is the second time in a row I have made JAOM with this batch of yeast where it has gone crazy. The First time it was 1.14 OG to 1.00 FG for 18.4% This was too dry for all the spices, so that stuff is aging The second time it was 1.16 OG to 1.02 FG for 18.5% So hot, trying to...

    Is there any input on leaving this batch dry, and aging for a year? I don't mind the wait, and since I now have a dry one, I can use it for comparison down the road? I think I messed up with too much water probably, since I had a 6 gallon carboy and topped it up. Ive read some bad things...

    Just Made my first 5 gallon batch. OG: 1.1 FG: .995 ABV: 13.78 Not sweet O.o oops.... I thought the fleischmanns would kick the bucket at 10-11% but apparently it kept chugging away (5-6 weeks before it stopped bubbling) It dropped and is very clear... wondering if it is worth...

    Gladly, just one caveat, make sure the nut is not so far up the bolt that it gets jammed, that makes it hard to take out without unscrewing the post (at least for me, on the one where I made that mistake). A few threads available keeps the nut from jamming into the wood nut insert thing.

    Made a keezer for a friend and hes been rocking those cheap plastic handles, started on these today since I searched, and lo and behold, a quick cheap nice looking option, only partway done staining, and used yet another method for putting the inserts in. $1.63 for insert, $1.98 for 2...

    Had an entire vinyl wrap printed seamless to wrap around side to side. Can cost $80-$125. Expensive but It let me use plain showerboard on the outside, and added a real nice finish to it.
