    Prison 'shine

Hello, I'm back with another ridiculous post. I just heard, on a TV show, about prisoners making moonshine from apples. How is that possible? The following issues come to mind when I think of this: - Where would they get reliable yeast for making the wash. I'm sure there isn't bread baking...

    Broken Jaw?

How does one tell if a punch has rendered one's jaw broken? It feels like it is broken, it hurts like it's broken, and my teeth on the side I got punched on are outta line. Score! The brew came out fine, it's in the secondary now. A bit fusel-y and quite bitter and dry. No off flavors to be noted. I shall name this recipe Tim's Might, after my good buddy Tim. Thanks again guys!

    First AG done...Disaster?

So I took a dive and decided to brew my first AG batch. I went out, bought the grain, yeast, and hops, and 2 days later, I decided to brew. The mash went all right and I was surprised at how sweet the mash liquid actually was. Well all was going fine until sparge time came, then I realized...

    Oats

Hello all. Great to be on your forum. I have recently acquired a 50# bag of whole oats. They were meant as horse feed and seem to be viable and able to germinate. My question is, how do you malt oats? There is no information online on this subject. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
