Has anyone heard of fermenting pomegranate concentrate similar to making a hard lemonade? I saw the frozen cans when i just went to buy some lemonade cans. im thinking of trying a gallon jug first, maybe even combine it with another juice...
any thoughts?
its definitely not enough to be considered sterile in my opinion, but still im sure you have no problem propagating the yeast through the use of careful transfers to isolate and remove them from contaminants. I would consider using a flowhood as the only way to go about creating a sterile...
Ive been learning how to culture yeast on plates for preservation and isolation and was wondering if theres anyone of the boards with any more information about the subject.
thanks,

this is what sparked my interest about doing it, they use clones similar to how other plants are grown hydroponically. it becomes a sort of perpetual harvest because you can continuously cut clones while continuously harvesting mature hops... all i need now is someone to send me a clone...:D

thanks for the replys im going to be drilling it today its a GE mini with enough room to fit two in there, once i remove the inside door panel. Im assuming you drilled though the side or even the back? The components are housed on the bottom backside of the fridge. I have pictures but can't...
Just wondering if its at all worth it to try and drill into my mini fridge so i can have my 20lb co2 tank hidden behind it? Any tips on doing a mod like this?
BTW my fridge doesn't have a drain hole
i just bought a 20lb CO2 tank but it hasn't been used in a few years, do i need to have it inspected and re gassed or can i get away with force carbing with the CO2 in there now?
Although expensive you can get professional electric steroclaves
heres the smallest one...http://www.enasco.com/product/Z02779N
it has a 1050watt heating element
you can find ones that have a 1650 watt heating element and can run off 120 or 240v
no im talking about before i even use it the first time, ive cut the slits and tried to clean the inside out with a long drill bit but it doesnt seem like i can get it clean enough for me to actually wanted to run my wort through it. if you drill holes how do you clean the debris out?
