Resurrecting this old issue again. I just tried this same approach on my new build to no avail.
I assume this was fixed in the software a long time ago, so does anyone here know what I might be doing wrong?
This is exactly what I thought my path forward would be if the counters couldn't be used as PID inputs. I'll define the rates I want in the workspace as a global and create the acceptable min/mix deviations in the script.
Couple of questions. I take it that you find a 1-second feedback loop to...
Searched the thread but didn't see this discussed anywhere. I have hall effect flow meters that I want to use to provide input for controlling proportional valves. The valves will be controlled by the built-in PID control algorithm in BC. However, the flow meters are not listed as an option for...
I'd like to use Google Docs (instead of Notepad) for creating and organizing my scripts, as shown below with bookmarks and links for ease of navigation. But the quotation marks in Google Docs seem to disagree with the BruControl script editor. If I delete the pasted quotations and retype them...
Hey @BrunDog . I'm making some good progress on my build, and while laying out the workspaces I thought of a small feature request.
It'd be nice to be able to 'nudge' the elements in the workspace using the arrow keys on a keyboard. Alignment of the elements has been quite tricky. I need a...
Yes.
If using a plate exchanger, be mindful of grain bits getting into the exchanger passes. I recommend using a bag in the MLT if you are going this route.
Is there a particular reason you want a touch screen? If you have space, why not a 40-50" television? Lots of screen real estate, and you can use it for other purposes in the brewery, like watching your favorite sporting event.
Just to make sure I'm picking up what you're putting down.
I have a 12v power supply. My plan was to wire this to the Vin pin of the MEGA Unishield but also use it to supply the on-board terminal of the Unishield.
This is an acceptable approach, right?
50 rpm max. I think this is a winner.
Let me do some more thinking on the rake design. Foresee any issues with the shaft coupling to the Makermotor linked above?
It's actually the bearing where I'm having the most problems [emoji1787]
Another idea. 1/2" compression fitting attached to a 4" triclamp end cap. Replace the ferrules in the compression with a flexible o-ring (silicon?). 1/2" shaft passes through the compression fitting, which should be able...
You are going to hate brewing, and perhaps even life in general, if you attempt to control a K-Rims system manually with valves.
My previous set up could be used in a variety of configurations, including K-Rims (using a Blichmann auto sparge). I tried it a few times and determined I didn't like...
