    Chinook IPA Carbonation

If you added all 5oz of sugar to 5 gallons that will cause it to be extra foamy. My last 3 ales were all carbed perfectly with domino sugar cube dots. I got the idea from another thread on this forum. 1 cube per 12oz and 2 cubes per 22oz bottle. It's also much cheaper than buying sugar included...

Wine maker giving beer a try

Everything is still good. I forgot about a NB chinook IPA kit in my closet for 5 months and it came out delicious.

Anyone use dark choclate bars in beer?

I threw 4oz of a chocolate bar in my last stout. It came out like others have said with very little head. I did pick up some chocolate flavor but it wasn't very much. I would say there are better ways to add that flavor to your brew.

Where is the cheapest place to buy DME?

    Labelpeelers.com normally sells 3lbs for under 10$.

    Illinois Free Tettnanger hop plant.

Looking for a good home for a tettnanger crown. It's 3 years old. I have 4 of them and I am looking to grow some other varieties so I need to make some room. Willing to meet at moraine valley college south suburbs of Chicago.

    Time in bottling bucket

I once fell asleep with my beer in the bottling bucket overnight. It came out fine.

Homegrown hops - cones to harvest timing

I would not recommend leaving bines attached much more than 4 inches if you plan to transplant. You want all the energy to be focused in the roots.

Homegrown hops - cones to harvest timing

How long are the bines at the moment? What type of hop are they? My opinion is based on that. If moving living situations my recommendations would be cutting them down. Moving the crowns as soon as possible would be best to maintain growth for the next and future seasons.
