Any thought s on wether or not burping a fermenter with dry hops achieves anything? I’m a couple days into dry hop and wondered if I should try it or do I just run risk of infecting the wort for little return!
Tru enough only my 4th and prevefforts I saw consistent clarity and I’ve overreacted…if I dial back up to 68 will that have any I’ll effect to the process?
Thx everyone for your comments
Hey all most my all grain brews have gone smooth and by the book…that said this citra session pale ale looking cloudy 5 days into ferment…smells good…trub dump kinda watery..wort crashed down quick and pitched (white labs) at 68 degrees..just gonna ride
It out although I did reduce my temp to 60...
More beer soulless pale all recipe with citra additions and citra dry hop…hope spider was a mess had to cool in the kettle in the fridge then poured it right out of the pot into my fermenter!
Finally completed first brew (pale ale) and I definitely had some challenges but worked thru, learned a ton and incredibly happy with the results!! Sampled at 7 days after kegging!! I’m hooked brewing an American Red this weekend

New to glycol and this things rep with regard to lack of manuals and operations info is well earned…tested with both sides looped all good then realized you can’t shut one side down if you aren’t using it…question is what do you do with the one side when you aren’t using it? Leave glycol lines...
Made a starter around 4pm have it on a stirrer relatively slow noticing a layer of foam now and can’t see the whirlpool…smells good tho am I alright? It’s a starter from more beer
