After my first boilover I started using Fermcap and haven't had one since.
My last brew was 8.5 gallons in a 9 gallon kettle so I think the stuff works. :)
This was my first brew ever. I remember it being very malty, almost no hop bitterness. But then again I was trying to boil 2.5 gallons of wort on a glass cooktop and I don't think I ever got it to a good rolling boil.

I'm going to be brewing a barleywine next weekend and am wondering if I can re-use the grain after collecting the barleywine wort? Do you think it would have enough remaining sugars to make an ordinary bitter?
