    Beer's with no carbination.

So Its been almost two years since I had weight lose surgery, and now I'm ready to get back into the brewing game. However turns out after surgery I can't drink beers with carbonation. Beers on nitro are no problem, as well as cask ales. So I'm asking you to share your cask and nitro...

    Imperial Oatmeal Stout

I've gone the espresso route before, I chilled the wort to 160 degree's and floated freshly ground espresso in a nylon stocking (wife was ripping lolz) for 5 minutes, then pulled it and chilled the rest of the way down. After fermentation, I used potassium sorbate in the keg and poured 1/4 cup...

    Imperial Oatmeal Stout

Best of luck! I have to say I have this on Beer gas with a stout faucet, and the kegs are over 2 years old. I just tapped another one and it just keeps getting better with age. I would suggest taking some oak chips and soak them in rum and rack it on the oak chips for a week or so after its...

I make fermented tea for my wife and her friends. I buy 5 one gallon Arizona Southern Sweet tea's from the market, and then I add 4 pounds of corn sugar. I hit it with a little O2 and then add the blue package wine yeast. Comes out very tasty and they love it. I let if ferment for a month or...

    Imperial Oatmeal Stout

The original recipe took 3rd place at the Topsfeild Fair, and it was my most requested recipe of a beer that I have brewed. The club brew in the Rum barrel came out excellent as well. It was great enough for me to start experimenting with oak chips in the fermentor. You won't be...

Can You Step Mash with a Cooler Mash Tun?

I do step mashes in my cooler all the time. Just start thick like 3/4 of a gallon per pound and step up from there. Your going to have to use a lot of heat in the water, make sure you have someone helping you to stir it in. I always pre heat my cooler before hand with 150 degree water with...

    Dryed Apricots

The beer came out great. I never did dry hop it with more apricots. The smell and flavor really came through. I should make this again, it was a nice spring ale. It did lose the flavor over time though, and I think me blowing CO2 out the keg to pour it room temp helped to kill the flavor. I...

Way, way, way over the top Sam Adams Utopia clone - #2

Paul thats terrible. However I agree, if he pulls it off I'll carry you on my back. Don't be discouraged though. You can make decent beer in a Mr. Beer. Its how I got started. My buddy now makes all his Brett and Sour beers in my old Mr Beer fermentors.
