Custom built steel single tier brew stand - Kansas City - $450

It's heavy overall (I want to say it's 11 gauge 2x2 steel?), but the wheels/handle make it easy to move around, even with empty kegs on it.

Custom built steel single tier brew stand - Kansas City - $450

I don't have a truck, but might be able to arrange something locally. Indiana is too far to drive, for what I'm asking, even if it's halfway. I might be willing to ship at buyer's expense, but I have no idea how to ship something like this.

Custom built steel single tier brew stand - Kansas City - $450

Up for sale is my custom built single tier brew stand I had welded up from mild steel. I had plans to use it for a complex HERMS setup, but it could just as easily be used as a simple two burner brew stand as well. Here is the thread I used to base my design from (an excellent thread, big...

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

There's really no other places close to me, and being that I don't have a truck, transportation of the stand is another factor. Most of the high temp engine paint says it cures fine at room temperature. I may go that way, I don't know. I probably won't do any painting at all until I have all...

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

Yes, I did plan to go with the Honeywell kit (hence the "here comes the expensive part...lol). Since making the post you responded to, I have decided to use some sort of plate chiller like a Therminator to cool my wort instead of using an immersion or counterflow type chiller. The company in...

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

Yeah, my tires are a bit under inflated right now, but I was wondering if that were going to happen.

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

Hey guys! I have to give another huge thank you to mplutodh1 for the plans he so graciously posted in his build thread - my welder was very impressed and it made it a lot easier on him (and me) to get this stand going. I modified the design by only using two burners (I hope I don't need to...

What "brew" software do you use?

I did a trial of Beer Tools Pro and liked it. It seemed to suit my needs well (recipe creation, inventory, brewing calculations, etc). A couple other programs I saw were BeerSmith and ProMash, and I was just wondering how they all stack up to one another and if there was one particular...

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

I figure it'll help make it easier to clean out.

Yet another single tier build thread (and some questions)

My stand is nearly finished being welded, just need to drop off the metal for the heat shields to my welder and it should be good to go!

    Vorlauf questions/sediment in boil

That's quite possible, I think I might have stretched out the braided coil accidentally with my stir stick a couple brews ago - maybe the stretching created bigger holes in the coil wall and therefore bigger particles get through. I'm ready for my new rig!

    Vorlauf questions/sediment in boil

I have a funnel with a screen that I got with the brewing kit I started out on that I pour the wort through. It's a pretty fine screen and it clogs easily. The first half of the kettle went through fine, but by the time I was done chilling the wort most of the sediment had settled to the...
