    Smokey bars

Ya know, I'm not quite old enough to consider myself "old" just yet. I'm only 40. And this conversation is happening on a message board dedicated to a hobby that was a federal crime just a few short years ago, back when I was in school. And yet there are people, even here, who not only...

how much priming sugar per bottle?

First, a gallon isn't really that much. I could kill a gallon of beer in the time it takes to watch a movie. I might fart alot and belch a time or two, but really, a gallon? It's not like we're talking about any significant amount of anything here... Second, and much more importantly, I'd...

How much co2 do I have left? (yes, total noob question)

OK, I just read through the stamping very carefully. I was particularly looking for a "T" or "TW" do get the tare weight. I only saw one "T", and it was a part of "TC-3ALM", which a quick google search tells me is a Canadian thing, so probably not the tare weight. Obviously the "ALM" part...

    Foaming Issue! Help!

OK... You have overcarbed beer that is too warm, and I'd bet donuts to dollars that you're trying to pour it out of a picnic tap on a short beer line. And you're surprised that it's foamy? First thing's first. Cool those kegs down. Put them in a fridge, put them in a garbage can full of...

how much priming sugar per bottle?

Oh, come on. It's a gallon. That's like 10 bottles mathematically, probably more like 8 by the time he goes through the bottling process and has a few drips here and a few spills there.... He's better off having a drunken evening and slamming it all down while it's still halfway decent...

10 gallon corny keg for sale

I know this is a zombie thread, but since someone else dug it up, I'll just say this: I'll take it. And I'll go at least a little above your asking price.

She says as she chugs down her equally toxic poison. Goddamn, I do love me some hypocrisy from time to time!!!! Now this is getting fun. :D

how much priming sugar per bottle?

Get your co2 tank refilled. Purge the keg with co2. CAREFULLY siphon the beer back into the keg. Then set the regulator to carb it back up. Wait, what? Did you say you POURED a gallon of beer into another container? Why in God's good name would you do that? You had perfectly good beer...

    Kegging Question

Um... Not to be a dick, but wtf? You carb beer by volumes of co2, not by time at psi. In the same container, at the same pressure, and the same temperature, it will take less time to force 2.5 volumes of gas into 2 gallons of liquid than it will to force 2.5 volumes of gas into 5 gallons...

    3 gallon corny

Kegs are really awesome for the simple fact that once you take the tapper off, they're sealed up again. And as long as you don't use a frat-boy hand pump on them, there's nothing but co2 in there, so they'll stay just as fresh as if you hadn't ever tapped them in the first place. Kegs ****in'...

    3 gallon corny

Craigslist. I see side-by-side refrigerators going for less than a hundred bucks almost every day. If you're patient enough to wait a week or two, you can probably score a "freezer on top" fridge for around $75. (side-by-side refrigerators suck) And "storing" beer at room temps won't really...

How much co2 do I have left? (yes, total noob question)

Cool. With the regulator taken off, it's reading 21.2 pounds right now on a scale that's of "iffy" accuracy at such low weights. So, in the neighborhood of 6 lbs left, out of 10. Round it off and I'll just say it's half full. When I run it out I'll definitely be making sure to get an...

How much co2 do I have left? (yes, total noob question)

Unfortunately, I don't have a handle ring. Actually been looking to buy one, but can't find them for anything smaller than a 20 pounder. But thanks everyone, I think I have enough info now to get at least a general idea of how much is left in there....

    3 gallon corny

If you fill the keg carefully, following the correct procedures, then it will "keep" just as long as it would have if you had bottled it. How long that is depends on the style of beer, some benefit from aging, some suffer from it. But a 3 gallon keg? I have a hard time picturing that lasting...

How much co2 do I have left? (yes, total noob question)

That's a freakin' awesome idea. I'll definitely be getting one of those. Doesn't help me in my current situation, but I can see how having one would have prevented this predicament in the first place, so it's going up toward the top of my shopping list!
