So as the title state I will be brewing a flanders red solera, over the christmas holidays. I am fortunate to have the availability of a 4 yr old american oak 30 gal barrel that has had cab sauv in it, and it will soon become home for the flanders red.
I have a few questions for everyone out...
I was under whelmed with the SN snow pack. The coffee was just not my style. I'm loving Firestone walkers variety pack. Union Jack ipa, DBA (English), pale 31, and 805 (a honey ale that goes all with the ladies)
I recently used 002 for an ESB, and was underwhelmed. Seemed lower malt than i wanted plus it had a hard time cleaning up the diacytel.
What are everyone's go to enjoys strains and fermentation schedules?
The anchor tour is well worth it. Normally small groups (6 people) and plenty of samples before and after. I would give them a call and see if there are any cancelations. Are you in sf this week? I know Almanac is hosting a beer fest Friday night. Check online for tickets
