Yeast starter question.
I made a 4L starter with an OG of 1.036. I used a slurry of yeast that I had leftover from a previous starter. The yeast is 34/70. It was on a stir plate for 4 days. I didn't see any krausen but just let it go. I just checked the gravity out of curiosity and it is...
Hey everyone. I need some help. I just completed a keezer build. I feel like I am an experienced builder as this is my 4th one. This one is the smallest one yet. Only fits 3 kegs barely. Brand new freezer. Ink Bird controller. Plugged freezer in pre-build and worked great. Post build...
Building another keezer. This is my second one. I have 4 muffin fans that I want to use inside the keezer. Need thoughts and advice on placement and anything else I need to be aware of.
Also, I was thinking if keeping the kegs off the bottom of the keezer floor. Is there any reason for...
Update.
I cleaned and blew out around the compressor. Took all kegs out and cleaned the inside. Plugged it in yesterday around 10am. It was near 100 for most of the day yesterday. This morning the freezer is at 34 degrees. I have it plugged in to a normal outlet not temp controlled...
I built it 3-4 years ago. The freezer was bought used. It's worked great for years. Ideally I would like the beer at 38-40. I set it to 32 when I saw it not getting down below 40. Hoping that would help it get there. Now that I think about it, probably just over working it more.
I just built it with no future thoughts in mind. Slapped a collar on it, painted it white and added 8 taps. I have ideas if I were to do it again, but hoping I don't have to.
My keezer is set at 32. It won't get below 40. Currently sitting 45. Yes it is in a hot shop, but is it on its last breath? Advice? Thoughts? Condolences? Cheers.
