Can anyone point me to a DIY parts list for spigot for my turkey fryer kettle? I did a search and didn't find any DIY versions - only mail order pre-configured ones.

From what I'm reading wouldn't the best imersion chiller fill the space inside the boiling pot? We allmake a coil that rests on the outer edges of the pot but something that was more of a spiral or circles of tubing that were wide and then small and then wide would hit more areas of the pot...
Thanks for your help. I do want to step up to all grain and will be looking for a 5-6 gal burner in the spring. I know it will make my wife happy to get the smell out of the house. I don't have to worry so much about boil overs then either!!
This may seem like a stupid question but:
I made a lager from a recipe that called for 3.3 light LME, 1 lb Rice syrup and 1lb honey plus hops and irish moss.
The color is pretty dark - maybe more like a bitters or ale. I already see the irish moss pulling a lot of crud down to the bottom but...
Thx for the advice. I'm bottling later today. I guess I have to wait about 6 months before I know the results. It's hard to wait 2-3 weeks with beer. This is going to kill me!!! :(
I have some cider that is ready to be bottled. Can I use cane sugar to get the carbonation going in the bottle? How much per bottle? I'm going to try to mix it with some water and boil it like when bottling my beers but not sure on quantities per gallon of cider.

Just racked to the secondary this weekend. FG was good and the taste was great. Now I just have to wait a week or so and put it in bottles. Then wait 2 more weeks. Waiting is definetly the hard part.

Newbie here. Made a partial grain Stout - lots of DME & LME - Irish Ale liquid yeast. Expected the fermentation to go a long time with that much ME in there. Started bubbling in just 4 hours, went crazy for only 60 hours, now on it's 4th day it's down to 1 bubble every 30 seconds. I know...
