There are several ways to get the sample out. I will assume that you have a bucket fermenter with a ball valve on the bottom. Place the bucket up on a counter or bench to give some room to use the graduated cylinder that came with the hydrometer. You may want to place something i.e. small piece...
I would go with the hops and additions if you remove the wheat and crystal malts. Using a pilsner or Marris Otter malt for the base would work well as well both are light but do have a bit of caramel flavor too...
I usually add flaked oats for head retention and mouth feel but no more than .75lb.
MR. Malty will definitely help with yeast. A starter is great way to save money on yeast you need approximately 4 billion yeast cells for a 5 gal batch and that is dependent on gravity. Higher gravity higher amount of yeast cells. All that said most liquid yeast are good just may need 2 packs...
Your recipe looks pretty good. I have not had that beer but I would look at the using a more base malt closer to the Harrington malt used in the original. It only adds 1.7L the amber will add more I also would change the Last two hop additions do the cascade at 15 minutes and the mosaic 5...

He doen't want to part out the brewery and I have pictures.

Here are some pictures from what he...
I can tell you all this.... The prices are worth it I have a stoudt 14.7 frementer and it is the best piece of brewing equipment I own. I wish I was closer I would jump on it. The Kettles I can not say for sure because I haven;t used them (yet:)) but if they are of the same quality should be a...
I have used my hop filter three times so far. Made an IPA, kind of a hop bomb, not only did we use it in the boil which worked great it let a little hop particles through, we also used it as a dry hop vessel. It fit feally well in my 14.7 gal. Conical from Stoudt.
The third time yeasterday...
Welcome Chad,
It is good to see ya here. I have used my screen and love it. It left little to no hop junk in the kettle. Chad how about one like a funnel for the fermenter, that would be great.
Thanks,
Paul
