4oz of priming sugar I think, it's a 40 pint (uk) stored at 20C.
I have a mini co2 bottle but I didn't think it prevented flat beer, I thought it was to help get the beer out.
Had a few pints of my first homebrew last night(3weeks in barrel) and although tasty it was alittle flat. It's in a pressure barrel, is it possible to re-prime it or is this one going to stay flat? Temp control is not something I have
Much control over at the minute as I'm waiting on getting a...
Sorry for double post, not sure how to edit the post as I'm on phone.
Why is it called a yeast cake? Makes me want to eat it. :)
Thanks for your information.
Ok I'll try to explain this as best I can so you don't get confused like my previous question.
I have brewed my second batch, pilsner black rock I think it's called, started the fermentation last night. I currently only have one bucket and one pressure barrel. And as my barrel has a brew...
See i said I was being thick, I guess I got it I'm my head you had to boil the full 5g. Just some of the recipes I'd read said they boiled it all . Unless I misread.
No. I know I'm being thick. I want to make the contents of a kit (the can). But without do a full mash where you are boiling 20l+. is it even possible?
Forgive me I guess for asking a stupid question, but it it possible to create an extract kit? Without having to do everything required to boil 20+litres.
And that's exactly why I asked the question, to get a bit of info to learn how to add and work stuff out. Only been on this forum a few days and I'm picking up some useful information. Glad that alot of people are understandable about new brewers.
At the moment I'd say it'll be just extract kits with a bit of tinkering perhaps until I get enough experience with it. Really struggle with waiting that's why questions start to come into my head. For the recor I don't plan on making peanut butter beer can't stand the stuff :D was just using it...
A refill kit isn't that what it's called? Malt in a can add water and yeast. Again sorry for not explaining better, like i said still new to me.
Was just thinking if it was possible to put some cocoa powder in secondary whilst the brew is conditioning, wether it would give a chocolate taste. I...
