    Funny find in my fridge!

Yooper, with all respect, you are a man's dream. I bet every guy here including myself wished that "our wife's issue" was why the heck is there frozen beer in my fridge. Thanks for the chuckle.

    bourbon barrel porter label

thanks, I probably went through 4 different versions before I was content, text style, pic, format, etc. I went to kinkos and had them printed on semi gloss. put one on a bottle and I gotta say it looks sharp. the porter is in the secondary as we speak.....hopefully it turns out as good as...

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

Yooper, I'm bottling by third batch this weekend. This stuff is awesome, my best beer to date. Just wanted to say thanks. My third batch I used Notty since my lhbs was out of s-05. Hope it keeps the same profile since it did ferment in the lower 70"s. We shall see.

    bottling after cold crashing

I figure there is a thread out there already but I was unable to find what I was looking for. Question is this: this is my first time cold crashing. Since I'm used to bottling room temp beer I would typically bottle an ale w/ 5 oz of priming sugar to get my desired carb. since cold crashing...

Irish Stout Ode To Arthur, Irish Stout (Guinness Clone)

im going to brew this on memorial day, i thought it would be fitting since im irish (no disrespect to our soldiers and veterens out there). Only thing I am going to do different is use black barley in place of the roasted barley (300). I recently made a stout with rb (300) and i feel that you...

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

Hey Yooper, I plan on brewing this, this weekend. Your ale seems like the perfect addition to the pipeline. Looking forward to it. The question I have for you is did you follow a certain water profile...say Edinburgh to enhance the maltiness of the beer? I apologize in advance if you had...

    filter press

I was wondering if anyone here has used the "Buon Vino Mini Jet" that is used for wine to filter out their beer? If so, is it worth the investment?

    Critique my recipe....

#5 sounds like a good christmas eve sipper. You are going to have to let me know how that one turns out...very interested to hear about it. Avibayer, I will leave this up to you, but as soon as the weather warms up here in wisconsin and new york, would you be interested in a swap? I...

    Critique my recipe....

Talk about one h8ll of a brew day, studying and brewing at the same time, I got to give you props. Multiple hop additions is about the extent of multi-tasking for me. After x amount of batches, the wife knows better then to distract me when brewing. I will say that I have been getting better...

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST - Post it Here and Pray it Comes True!

Well since last night when I found out that "Reynolds" has discontinued their vacuum seal bags, I want a FoodSaver vacuum sealer. Was going to divy my two pounds of hops into 2 oz bags and couldn't so I decided to toast some grain for a future brew. But since I broke my shovel this morning...

    Critique my recipe....

Keep the crystal @ 1/2 lb and up it to 60 like you mentioned. You won't be dissapointed. MattUpNorth I agree what you are saying about body feel and F.G. I just sampled my 2nd batch @ 5 weeks, this was the one that finished @ 1.017-1.018 F.G. and I really like it. Going with my therm...
