What do you think of this recipe?

Kegging her up today. I named my last beer "Aunt Ester's Cidery **** Brew". Hopefully this one will have a much better name.

What do you think of this recipe?

I'm just using my left over hops to make a good lawnmower beer with some body. I usually name them after I taste it.

Avanti 5.0 Cu. Ft. Compact Refrigerators

The sides are pretty packed with coils, but I think there may be some space in the top toward the front based on feeling out the sides for heat, but you will need to do the starch trick yourself.

Anyone tried Throwing nuts in the Mash?

I have about 40 tons of Shagbark hickory nuts in my yard and was wondering if I could throw some in the mash. They taste like pecans if you have never tried them.

Can I transfer kegged beer into bottles w/o beer gun?

If it tastes good just drink it and make your next beer with more body. Sounds like you want a perfect beer off the bat. Surf this website for tips and tweak your beer to be whatever you desire. You sound like me when I started. I switched to All-grain after 3 extract batches to have more...

Have never tried just doing a primary. Maybe I'll give it a try and see If it is as clear. I like my Ales to be crystal clear. Just my personal preference.

Can I transfer kegged beer into bottles w/o beer gun?

Shaking the keg is a gamble. Too easy to overcarbonate if you don't know what you are doing. I just leave it at 30lbs for 2 days. 25lbs gives me undercarbed beer. Maybe my regulator is off a bit.

It turns into food for the yeast. It does not kill yeast from what I have read. I Put my fermenting beer into the Carboy or from Carboy to keg with tons of Starsan foam and it has not affected taste. I never rinse starsan. It is pretty acidic though. I found it eats my countertop if I don't wipe...

Can I transfer kegged beer into bottles w/o beer gun?

How long have they been kegged? it takes a week if you kept it at 15 lbs and didn't shake it. My first 4 Oz is usually foam in a perfectly carbonated beer. Throw it out then its usually prefect. Think it is due to the beer getting warm in the line of the tap tower. I bet you figure out the...

I just kegged a batch of Nut Brown from an extract kit. I normally do all-grain, but was lazy with this one. It tasted awesome un-carbonated. Can't wait to taste the final product. Welcome to the hobby.

Avanti 5.0 Cu. Ft. Compact Refrigerators

It is a no brainer. I found no coils in the dead center, but you can easily select where you want to put your tower then dissect the foam to see if there is a coil. I drilled a 2 inch hole after poking around with a paper clip to check for coils. I felt warmth only on the sides and back...

Avanti 5.0 Cu. Ft. Compact Refrigerators

After building a riser for the front part of the floor to make it level with the back shelf you would only have 21 inches which is enough for a bucket, but but only with a few inches to spare. You would not be able to use a standard air lock. The fridge is plenty deep. I just measured it and the...
