I got the Northern brewer brick warmer red kit for Christmas and I have considered dry hopping for some added flavor and aroma- I want to combine the flavor of a wintery amber with the aroma of a hoppier beer.
Has anyone ever dry hopped to a beer that is not an IPA?
Would you recommend...
I am on day 6 of the primary and all the sings point to active fermentation. However, as I read research i realize that my basement sits at about 60 degrees...is this too cold for the primary? Should I add more yeast and bring it upstairs? Unused danstar Windsor dry yeast
I recently called northern brewers about saving a winter beer extract kit I just got for Christmas until next fall when I would enjoy it more. He strongly advised me against it and said I'd be better of brewing then letting the bottles age because the ingredients may well go to an 'off' flavor...
