I just made this last week. I USD US SAFEL 04 INSTEAD OF THE NOTTING HAM, USED MY OWN HOME GROWN HOPPS AND USED BLACK PATENT INSTEAD OF special B. I call it my Columbus black rye. I am bottling tomorrow.
I dry hop in the secondary
1. I then can brew again my primary is empty.
2. When I dry hop I boil 1 cup of water and throw my hoop in and then let them cool to 80 before I pour them into the secondary. I have had something start to grow in my secondary when I just throw them in as pellets.

Who has dry hopped? I did not and it came out fantastic! I was wondering if you have and how it came out. Also, on another note i am looking to acquire some amarillo gold and some simcoe but no one has any. If you know who has some let me know the website so i can order!

Let me know how it comes out. When i made it with columbus it was excellent. The only problem i have with cascade is that when you fish with it sometimes you get a weird soapy aftertaste. That tends to turn a lot of people off. But the what the heck it is beer!

Does anyone have a lead on getting simco hop rhizomes?
My brewing buddy does an amazing simco and amarillo summer ale but he tells me the simco is not on the market! Why?
I planted 5 different types this year. I know that next year will be pretty good but when i harvest them in the summer and dry... Here is the big question AMOUNT? If i normally use 1 oz of cascade pellets how much do i use of my dried fresh stuff?
