anyone have experience with Twistee cans?

Following. I'll be curious how well the work for you and if you like them. Seems like an good fit for some of those one off or seasonal beers I brew so I don't have to tie up a keg.

    Maryland Selling my Zymatic

Selling my Zymatic, haven't used it in quite some time since I've moved back to 5Gallon batches. Asking $350, comes with everything but the keg, I do have a second step filter to include. Looking for a local buyer (Hagerstown) since I don't have the box to ship it. Will travel 20-30 minutes...

Unmilled grains... continue with the boil?

Thanks. It's apparently too early for me to be doing this but I did take a reading and had next to no sugar in the wort. So I dumped it. Rather waste 10# of grain, then hops and yeast.

Unmilled grains... continue with the boil?

Wasn't paying attention and mashed in this morning with a kit I ordered. I have a mash and boil, so while I'm waiting for the grains to drain I noticed the grains are not crushed. It's was a pale ale, and the color is correct, but is there any reason to move forward with the boil or will this...

Hornindal Kveik is blowing my mind

I found I got an almost overwhelming backend orange peel like flavor the first time I used it. Almost like biting right into the rind on an orange. It eventually mellowed out over the next couple of weeks. Second round, I had an IPA with more hops then the first one and it melded right in and...

Do bottling buckets have to be replaced as often as plastic carboys?

I'm going on 9 years with the same buckets/carboys I started with. I've only tossed one along the way when it got a scratch on the inside during a move. Aside from that, besides a little staining, they look pretty much the same as when I got them. I brew 3-4 times a month.

Did my hop go male on me?

Thanks. Definitely doesn't look like that.

Did my hop go male on me?

Thanks guys. It's been several years since I tackled growing hops and I must have mixed up what the male/female plants look like.

Did my hop go male on me?

    Gotcha. Thanks. That's a relief.

Did my hop go male on me?

The plant seemed to be doing well, growing 6-8in a day. We water in the mornings, early before the sun is out. It's in a whiskey barrel, I don't have a good spot to put it in the ground, and it's been growing up the trellis pretty steady. But today I noticed these, and I thought from years ago...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

I had a lot of issue with my first Z overflowing, or throwing the Error #1. And just over all not running consistently enough where I had to baby sit it. Picobrew eventually replaced the whole unit, but several recipes were ruined while trying to get things to run. While I waited for the...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

I stopped using mine and switched to the Brewer's Edge Mash and Boil. My brew days are about half the time I spent on the zymatic and alot less watching it. I'm at the point where I'm ready to sell mine cheap to someone who would use it and enjoy it more.
