    Blackberry Crush into Wine

Yes, I used the montrachett. Its fermenting good now too. I had the sulphur funk smell now :) I figure it will be ready for a taste around May 1st. If you try another juice, let me know how it turns out.

    How long to start

All were at room temp. I bought the juice from the store off the shelf, and it never hit the fridge. The yeast was pulled from the fridge a good 2 hours before pitching. So when I get home, if it isnt going yet Ill give it a good hard shake. Other than that, Ill wait a couple of days and...

    How long to start

I havent brewed in about 6 months. I made up the Blackberry Crush juice as noted in a few posts back. The sugar content of the juice should work out to be almost exactly the same as Edworts Apfelwein. I made it up last night around 6:00 pm, and dropped in the montrachet yeast. As of this...

    Blackberry Crush into Wine

I already have the extra sugar laying around, so Ill make up a batch tonight with that. Ill see how that goes, and if its as tasty as I hope it is, Ill try varying the recipe a bit. Ill keep you all posted :mug:

    Blackberry Crush into Wine

My girlfriend has turned me onto Blackberry Crush from Trader Joes. I just looked at the ingredients and its made with Apple, White Grape, and Blackberry juices. There are no preservatives, and its 100% juice. It looks like it has 29 grams of sugar per 8oz, which apple juice alone is about...

    I want a diesel

I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I have 2003 Jetta TDI. It is by far the best car I have ever owned. I live in California, and no you cannot buy it new here. I bought it used last year. Carfax says it came from Texas. Supposedly the 08 will be available for sale here, but I...

    morebeer

I love MoreBeer. Its a bit of a drive for me to hit their Riverside store, but its worth the drive. The people there are awesome. Much better than any other LHBS near me. Ive also placed a few orders online instead of making the trek out. Never had a problem. Ive spent about $2500 with...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Holy Hell Dude. My last batch of Apfelwien was sitting out on a counter. It must of had the sulfur smells while I was out at work. I just opened the door to my closet where my 2 full batches are bubbling away nicely. Only problem is I almost passed out from the smell. It was like a dutch oven.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Primed my first batch today (The martinellis make up). I sneaked a toke of it (or a half gallon of it). Gundamn this stuffs good. It almost has no flavor at all, and yes Edwort after a couple glasses this stuff is phenominal. I think Ive had about maybe 20oz's of it, and.... well Im playing...

    Pooched it, Need emergency advice

Very good advice. I have a couple of party taps. Is it the same fitting as the gas side? Most of my kegs have 6 point sockets on both gas and beer side. I could just cut one up and add an airlock. I would feel sooooo much better about not having a keg bomb brewing in my house. John...

    Pooched it, Need emergency advice

Hmm, how much would 4 oz of priming sugar raise the gravity of 5 gallons of beer? Maybe thats how I blew the final gravity.
