Ongoing foam problem with Nostalgia Kegerator

I think I found my culprit... or at least the main one.... having a 3/8" tube get pinched into 3/16 faucet... as i stated earlier there is no foam in the line as it pours, but it comes out foam, which leads me to believe its foaming as it goes into the faucet...

Ongoing foam problem with Nostalgia Kegerator

I have never had a BMC beer in there, all home brewed or bought from a microbrewery. I currently just tapped some Ichabad Pumpkin Ale... The line I have is 3/16's (thought it was 3/8) but it connects to a 3/8" nozzle at the sankey (had to heat and stretch it to fit it) and a 3/16" nozzle at the...

Ongoing foam problem with Nostalgia Kegerator

yes, I have to do this every time I pour. If I do this every time though, won't this make the beer go flat over an extended period? (like opening up a 2Lt. bottle of soda over and over and over and over) Either way, I shouldn't have to do this every time.

Ongoing foam problem with Nostalgia Kegerator

I don't believe for probably 7-8x 1/6 barrel kegs i've had in this thing have I been able to get it to pour properly unless I have the pressure at about 1-2psi (where it just about trickles out). I've tried hose lengths from 3ft to 5 ft. did not change. The line looks clear of foam, but the...

    how to increase starting gravity?

where is everyone gettin the impression I like crappy beer... who the F makes their own if they like crappy beer... Nowhere, in any way shape or form did I even hint this, nor did I say adding ABV was my TOP priority, its jus the current priority.. I found a recipe I really like, just trying to...

    how to increase starting gravity?

i was told that dark candy sugar was a good way to darken it as well as add ABV...figured kill 2 birds with 1 stone, or should I generally use grains to darken? Problem as a noob and using grains is we have no F-ing clue how they effect the taste...and seeing as there are a million...

    how to increase starting gravity?

i do not, but every brewing place I have called says the more sugar you add, the more alcohol content you will get, and they allllll recommend adding like 1lb after initial fermentation the liquid malt was 3.3lbs... and then there were 2 bags of 1lb dry malt, and 2 like half lb bags of grains

    how to increase starting gravity?

is there any way to increase my starting gravity?? My last beer I did I wanted to get about 7-8% alc. but the starting gravity was low, which makes things harder... It started at 1.04 the day I made it... then after fermentation, and adding an extra pound of sugar I was at 1.01...which comes...

    adding sugar to secondary.....

Hello. I am fairly new at brewing... I've made about 7-8 batches...this will be my second time adding sugar after the primary fermentation process. I got an English Brown Ale. My air lock just stopped bubbling today. I was told I can add about another 1lb of sugar (5 gallon batch) after...
