I rinsed my glass out and the second one was a lil but better but not as good a head as our last batch. Maybe I'm just being too anal retentive or picky.....
We recently brewed a Hefeweizen. We got the ingredient kit from Austin home brew. Today is tasting day and we have ran into a problem. There is zero head retention..... I'm completely stumped as to why this is. This was a mini-mash/BIAB recipe. We followed the steps exactly
except one. We did...
We are taking the next step into mini/partial mash/ BIAB. I am using Beersmith and am trying to be as thorough as i can but i am confused as to how to find the efficiency in a batch..... Any help will be much appreciated.
Already working on the shelves and I'm thinking about insulation board over the glass to keep out UV rays and keep the cold air in. It's out in my Florida room so I can only imagine the cold air that is escaping through the glass. Any suggestions?
It feels like Christmas! Picked up a beer cooler to turn into a fermentation chamber! Also have new ingredients that should be here very soon for 3 more batches!!! I can't sleep I'm so excited!!!
Me and my father have been brewing LME. We are looking to make the next step up to BIAB. We have 3 pots ( 1-3gal and 2 that are roughly 10 gallons a piece). Any advice as to what upgrades we will need to start BIAB?
