Help me get that malty taste

I've noticed that ever since I've started All Grain brewing, my beers are kinda flat or thin tasting. None of them have had that nice malty flavor and mouthfeel. What could I be doing wrong. I was wondering if I made the jump to All Grain too soon. I usually make 3 Gallon batches. I'm...

Calling all 3 Gallon All Grain Recipes

I've been browsing the site and would love to gather some All-Grain 3 Gallon recipes in a single post. I'm looking to brew a 3 Gallon All-Grain Stout. I know I can adjust the 5 gallon recipes using software. However, it would be nice to see people post some of their successful 3 gallon recipes...

    Who's brewing today? (9-21)

I'm bottling a Magic Hat #9 clone this weekend. I don't plan on brewing until the first week of October. It will be AG attempt number 3. AG is so much more rewarding. Good luck on your brew day though! mmmmm umpkin beer :mug:

Looking for a good AG winter Beer

I've only done one AG brew so far and it turned out great. I was thinking about brewing up a beer that could bottle condition until the winter months. Does anyone have any recommendations? Should I do a few more simple AG batches before I try a bigger beer?

    I feel the noobiness fading

yea.. what about that recipe?? I ha;ve the one from BYO and wondered if thats the one you're using. I just bottled my first All grain (pale ale) and wanted to try the Magic Hat #9 clone as my next brew.

If i need something else im gonna b POed! but i will buy it neway

I just checked and found I have the exact same size. I was afraid of doing a full 5 gallon All-Grain recipe so my first try at AG brewing was a 3 gallon. I'm guessing its safe to try a full batch considering you are using a 30 qt too. I'll keep a spray bottle with water just in case.

    Beginners luck?

Congrats... :mug: I also did my first All Grain batch yesterday. I started out with an easy Pale ale and modified it to a 3 gallon recipe. Everything went perfect. Woke up this morning, checked the carboy and its bubbling along. I'm really excited about All Grain brewing. I have to say...

    3 Gallon AG

I have one of those Stainless Steel Turkey Fryer Pots that I've used for brewing extract in the past. My next brew will be all grain. I was planning on doing the 3 gallon method but I noticed your post and wondered if I could somehow pull off a 5 gallon brew with my current setup. I measured...
