What does it mean to "pitch at high krausen"? Does that just mean to pitch the starter when its at peak fermentation (i.e. lots of krausen) instead of letting it finish out? I usually make my starters a few days in advance so any potential issues if I crash it in the fridge at high krausen and...

Just to wrap up this thread, I did receive a call back from the Perlick Corporation. Their response: "The 525 series is a stainless faucet, regardless of whether it is chrome plated or brass plated on the outside, the body itself is stainless." Thanks all for your responses on this.

yes I was trying to get all 3 on the floor and they didn't fit. I didn't look at whether it would work on the hump with a collar though.

I just found one on CL and took my 3 ball lock cornys to test fit before buying it. They did not fit. I could have tried jamming the 3rd one in but it probably would have been ugly.

How did the carbonation turn out at 1.8 vols?

Did you guys crash cool and decant your yeast starter, or just pitch the whole thing? I’ve read that Hefe yeasts tend to stay suspended so wouldn’t you lost some yeast by decanting? Or maybe losing some yeast is better than polluting that beautiful wort with the starter liquid...
