    I don't think water heaters were designed to provide drinking water. Probably won't kill you though.

    I use mason jars with a FS bottle attachment. Any pump will do and they freeze well.

    I too use tap water an RV carbon filter and treat for chloramine.

    I use potassium metabisulfate to treat my brew water. !/4 t. per 5-8 gallons of water will remove chloramine

    BIAB Kettle Fittings. What is your set up?

    I use a ball valve with a side pickup. I put a tamale rack (cake rack w legs) in to keep everything off the bottom. My 44qt pot is also electric.

    Help with metallic off flavor

    Double ck the element. I had a Camco 4500w 220v ULWD separate from its base, very hard to see. Rotted from the inside, causing a metalic taste...

    Can I mark my SS kettle?

    I took my plastic (food grade) spoon and used a small pipe cutter to mark my gallon and half gallon measurements. I then colored the marks with a sharpie, red for half and black for full gallons. I used fine sandpaper, steel wool to remove the excess. Works great, looks good and was cheap too...
