Wohooo did my first Root Beer

I think you can taste it some in the ginger ale but you can't taste it at all in the blueberry. I bottle the sodas and let them set out for about 48 hours before I refrigerate. I use the flip top bottles and slightly open them to release pressure twice a day while they are sitting out. I'm...

I've heard bread yeast leaves an after taste, I think you get used to it. My friend only uses bread yeast for root beer. I tried champagne yeast for ginger ale and blue berry soda But I Like wine yeast better, doesn't seem to be as aggressive.

Just thought I would post a of pic of my last batch of Blueberry Ginger Soda, it is the bomb! Plenty of carbonation too, I think I like the lalvin EC-1118 yeast best of the yeasts that I've used so far for soda making. Merry Christmas to al! Shurla5

    Re boil

Put my yeast in while my mixture was too hot, do you think there is a problem if I re boil the blueberry ginger mixture and let it cool and try again? This is a soda I'm trying it make. It tasted good the first time around I just didn't wait for it to cool enough.
