That's BeerSmith being a little overzealous. ;) Realistically, it'll be more like 75% (in my experience).

I only added victory for the color and wasn't really sure what else to put in its place. I'm open to suggestions.

Has anybody ever tried attaching a muslin bag to the end of the dip tube?

My only issue with the bags is they seem to really reduce utilization for me in the boil. Maybe they're not as bad when dry-hopping. Though, for all I know, herb balls have the same issue. ;)

Somebody recommended a SS herb ball a while back and I completely forgot until just now. In your experience, how much do they hold? Would 3.5 oz (without removing the chinook) of pellet hops fit into a 4" herb ball like the following...

One of my favorite to dry hop with is Falconer's Flight. As I understand, it's a blend of Citra, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace and others. It has very nice aromatic qualities.

Bah, so I figured it out. I thought it was coming out of the holes in the side of the CO2 tanks shutoff valve, but turns out I had a massive leak in the tube on the output side of my regulator. Not sure how that passed QA, but I'm good now (I hope). I feel like an idiot now, but I just assumed...

I am completely new to CO2 tanks and kegging, so I'm hoping I'm just doing something completely wrong, but I hooked my tank up to my regulator and turned the gas on and it started spraying out of the holes on the side of the valve on the CO2 tank. Was I supposed to do something first? I checked...

Finally got around to brewing the batch with WLP820. As recommended, I used a larger-than-normal starter and it still took a few days to show active signs of fermentation, but it seems to be chugging away now (slowly, but steadily).

Unfortunately, they did not. They actually got worse. :(
