    QuickCarb for cleaning beer lines

Not a new idea I’m sure, but I wanted to share how I use my QuickCarb to clean my beer lines after every keg. My intertap faucets have a growler adapter that I connected to a normal flare fitting (there is now a ball lock QD faucet adapter from intertap that would make this even easier). My...

Pennsylvania The Clarifier - 2 micron

Just a heads up, I cold crash with gelatins then use a quick carb to pump from my fermenter, through this same 2 micron filter and into my keg. Whole pump out takes less than 15 minutes. I know other people have had problems, but I have had nothing but good luck.

    Grainfather!!

Good call. I don’t get home at a normal time though. But I will definitely start using for weekend brews.

    Grainfather!!

So I documented my grainfather brew day. Please give me any pointers to improve efficiency or shorten my brew day. Aside from a grainfather with a connect control box. I am using a 5 gallon pot with a cheap hot plate and inkbird thermostat. The whole process takes 6 hours total. But really only...

    New Equipment

Zlaker, Let me be the first in officially saying "I want to live vicariously through your purchases!". It seems like money isn't too much of a problem to you, so have fun. I would like to suggest that the volume at which it appears you will be brewing will by far outrun your 2 tap kegerator...

Blichmann QuickCarb (New from HomebrewCon 2016)

I actually I have done some decently dry hopped beer. Off the top of my head I would say I have probably had at least 3-4 oz in the fermenter before. So I guess this is my secret. I have a conical with a mason jar collection vessel at the bottom. I also have a Craig’s list fridge which gives...

Blichmann QuickCarb (New from HomebrewCon 2016)

I am using a DuPont WFPF13003B cheap 10 inch water filter. I had to find an appropriate fitting. I think it’s a 1 inch NPT. I suck from my fermenter and push through the filter using either a disposable 5 micron or stainless steel 2 micron into a keg. I then throw both fitting on the keg and...

Blichmann QuickCarb (New from HomebrewCon 2016)

I have had a quick carb for over a year now and I have never been thrilled with its ability to carb properly. I have been very happy with its ability to transfer from my fermenter, through a filter and into a keg. But after reading the whole thread I think I will set it 5 psi higher than the...

Keezer Build - Tips and Lessons Learned

I would like to add a like to the idea of using a bilge fan to move air around. Has anyone thought of using a smart home moisture monitor to plug the bilge fan into? It's too expensive as a sole purpose purchase (150$ for a starter kit), but if you already have some, I have a Samsung Smartthings...

    Yeast Harvesting Gone Bad.......Sorta.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll give it a few more days at a stable FG. Then kick it up to 70 to play some clean up. I suppose all the damage has already been done.

    Yeast Harvesting Gone Bad.......Sorta.

Well my thought process was since they were still bubbling, they were still alive and active. And I think I was pretty sanitary with all my transfers.

    Yeast Harvesting Gone Bad.......Sorta.

So I made an all grain Kolsch kit from NB using US-05 after a week of good fermentation at 64 deg. and 48 hours sitting at 1.012, I figured primary was done. <side note, the last 2 batches of IPA and IIPA I made with US-05 fermented down to 1.001. and 1.000. I didn't think that was...
