I am leaving early in the morning for OBX and won't be back until the following Monday (27th). I'll pay up when I get home this morning but cant pickup until the 27th
My efficiency took a hit too... I'm still fiddling with it but I think I'm circulating too fast and the grain bed is coning (i.e. forming a whirlpool cone) leaving a little a bit of grain that doesn't rinse as well.
I also think it is a switch from the 10 gallon round cooler and the 20 gallon...
Bob -- The unit has a 4" touch screen LED. Each stage (HLT heat, Mash, etc) has a visual indicator similar to an LED. The only additional adds I want at this point are manual overrides for a complete software failure -- and if that happens there'd be nothing controlling the LEDs anyway. Any...
I have two more hardware additions -- an audible alarm for manual attention (mash temp achieved -- ready for dough/in, etc) and manual override switches for the pumps and burners just in case there is a software failure. The touch screen UI has manual overrides but I want a hardware override...

The biggest issues I had in going from 2 to 3 was the inability to divide and conquer. You can't split 'em up and deal with issues without leaving one still running around. This transition was the hardest for us -- how do you control 3 runaway kids when there are only two of you? Get past that...
Did you brew this up man? I wouldn't worry too much about the Centennial "Type" hops; though if you want it to be a true "Dead Ringer" for the original you'll want to find some centennial and actually harvest some Bell's yeast.
