    True GDM-07 Temp Controller Options

I came across a very good deal on a GDM-07 and am planning on using it for a ferm chamber. What is the safest option for controlling fermentation? Self built BrewPi or Inkbird controller? I have a BrewPi partially completed per this thread, with only the relay board and the sockets left...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Upgrading to 2.0.1 got me the rest of the way. Yay! Cheers

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Any experience installing on a Pi Zero using Jessie (without flow meters)? I've gotten everything installed and working with the sample dataset. When I go to change a beer on a tap, the transaction is not successful. No Apache errors/logs, no Mysql errors/logs, no JavaScript errors. The page...

Scaling an Extract Recipe to 10g gives higher OG

I scaled a simple IPA recipe from 5 gallons to 10 gallons and my OG shot up from 1.065 to 1.071. Beersmith provided the scaling, should i have expected my OG to remain consistent?

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Yep, I should have included the Arduino in my question. I'm just stepping into fermentation control one foot at a time (aka, I don't have a fridge) and had almost all components necessary anyway. Thanks all! :tank:

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

If I just want to monitor temps and not control a ferm chamber, do I need the relay? Or will the Pi and probs be sufficient enough?

    Starter Underperforming

Yeah, I should have posted my target OG. I've got it at 1061. Looks like a quick trip to the LHBS is in order.

    Starter Underperforming

Brewing on 5/21 so I kicked off a 1L starter (1.040) of WY3711 on 5/17. I let it run on the stir plate for almost 36 hours before crashing in the fridge. When I looked at it last night, there was an extremely small yeast cake. I did see fermentation as the SG dropped to 1.016. The yeast pack...

First time using BeerSmith and I want to make sure my numbers are lining up.

Thanks for input guys. I did another boil off test this morning and I am at 1.5 gallons/hr instead of two. I'm not sure if I had too vigorous of a boil first time around. I'll play around with the efficiencies and look for a more suitable recipe. I have Brewing Classic Styles but pulled that...

First time using BeerSmith and I want to make sure my numbers are lining up.

Brewing an IPA this weekend with a 16 gallon Bayou pot. This will be a full-volume BIAB process. Do these numbers look appropriate? I used a water volume calculator previously and I think my water volumes were a little off so I'm a little timid here. I'm looking for confidence or...

Cooling wort in a different vessel?

I use a SS boil pot but also have an aluminum pot that is great at cooling but not so great at boiling. Is there a downside to transferring my just boiled wort to the aluminum pot for cool down in an ice bath? I can take 5 gallons to 75 degrees in just under 20 minutes with that guy.

    WL001 fermenting temp too low?

I pitched a WL001 PurePitch at around 75 degrees and placed my carboy in a nice dark place. Fermentation seems to have gone well, I'm 7 days later and still have activity. Where I'm questioning myself is the fermentation temp has been in the 61-63 degrees. What are effects of this low...
