I scaled a simple IPA recipe from 5 gallons to 10 gallons and my OG shot up from 1.065 to 1.071. Beersmith provided the scaling, should i have expected my OG to remain consistent?
Yep, I should have included the Arduino in my question. I'm just stepping into fermentation control one foot at a time (aka, I don't have a fridge) and had almost all components necessary anyway.

I use a SS boil pot but also have an aluminum pot that is great at cooling but not so great at boiling. Is there a downside to transferring my just boiled wort to the aluminum pot for cool down in an ice bath? I can take 5 gallons to 75 degrees in just under 20 minutes with that guy.
