I looked closer and it looks like the airlock is a little off on the rubber part around the hole so air is just coming out really slowly. Thanks everyone

When I push down on the lid it will make the airlock move so I know it's airtight. Seems like everything is going to be fine I just will go by another hydrometer because I broke my first one a couple months ago.

It's airtight, and the temperature is the reading I get on a the outside of the bucket. here's a picture. I can see some activity, some small bubbles bursting but the airlock doesn't move at all.

This is so true. I had a friend's home brew sitting in my fridge for a month because I didn't like it. One day i decided to give it a try and it was surprisingly really good.

This is my 5th batch and it has always started to ferment by now. It's at 68 degrees right now but the weather has been fluxuating a lot lately. Should I be worried that I haven't seen any signs of fermenting yet?

I'm in Northridge, its considered in the city of LA, but I really wouldn't mind driving to Long Beach or the one by LAX. thanks for the info

Does anyone know of a good place to go in the LA area to buy brewing supplies, or a place that lists locations. I have only gone to this small one by my apartment and all they have is the kits. Thanks

Thanks for the response, we have never done any secondary fermenting before so I am going to check that out. Also what will letting it sit longer in the fermenter do?, we usually leave it in for a week regardless of when it stops bubbling.

I just started to get into home brewing and have done two batches that were from a pack (Brewers Best). Both of the batches had small light colored particles that sat at the bottom of the bottles a day after bottling. Does anyone know what can cause this and how I can fix the problem? I need to...
