Just upgraded my swirl boss to the new design. What an improvement!!! First having stainless is so much better than copper. So much easier to attached. It works so much better now too...
I was a little worried this wouldn't fit right with my Jadded Immersion Chiller but it slips right in behind it.
I've got the same problem with the app not showing the correct temp...its been a problem for some time..the latest update worked for a while...its like the app is losing some sort of connection/communication during the brew...i've actually been using manual mode and watching the controller read...
How did the parti-gyle beers turn out trying it this way. This process makes the most sense to me...been doing a lot of big beers on my brew boss the last month and everytime I dump the basket in my head is telling me to try a parti-gyle...going to try this with a dopplebock I have planned
I always heat up 2/3 cup of water with 1 tsp of gelatin to about 150...stir...pour into keg...shake...wait 24 hours...pour a pint dump...will be cloudy mess...wait another 24 hours...pour a pint dump..should look way better...3rd pint should be about perfect.
cascade candi syrup makes a black licorice candy syrup that works really well. This was my recipe that turned out really nice....the belgian syrup you see listed is the licorice candy syrup

I always have my mop and towels around to wipe anything up. I brew in an unfinished baesment with a drain near where I brew so its not big deal if I spill things...after lots of practice...i'm pretty good about not spilling things...I have a tub I set the cofi filter into when I pull it...
Update on dip tube usage...ive been on a mad tear filling up fermenters , 9 batches since wednesday...brew boss works so much better with it....you do need to remove it after each brew ...hops get stuck in it
