    Thanks for the help. I seem to have everything on the list; - Fermenter - 20 litre (5.3 gallon) carboy (as many as needed) - Airlock - I thought I'd drill a hole through the original plastic cap of the carboy (sold originally with water), push a PVC transparent tube through it, seal it well...

    An Englishman in Brazil

    It's warmer than New York but probably more difficult to get equipment and ingredients. If anyone has recipes for simple wines - no campden, peptic enzymes etc I would be grateful. Ingredients for beer seem more available although equipment is very expensive. Any suggestions for starter kit...

    Hi All, This is my first post. I have been relocated to southern Brazil and have decided to try some brewing down here. Ingredients are hard to come by - no campden tablets, pectic enzyme etc. Indeed, I have yet to find a supplier of wine yeast. Does anyone have a recipe/suggestions for this...
