    So who's brewing this weekend?

20 gals of oatmeal stout on Sunday. 15 to be dry hopped with Columbus, 5 a vanilla bourbon for the wife. 10 inches of snow due overnight so it should be fun!

Got 2 Allagash Curieux Barrels, notice an odd smell in 1.

Hey HBT's I live in Maine fairly close to Allagash's brewery so I was able to procure 2 Curieux barrels. My plan is to age a flanders red in one, and possibly an Oud Bruin in the other. I popped the bung (snicker) on one of them and although there is still a scent of Jim Beam, i'm getting...

    Changing Mash Tun Coolers

Hey HBT gurus, Quick n00b question on a mash tun upgrade. I've been using a 10 gallon Igloo circular cooler and am looking to go larger so I can do both bigger batches and bigger beers without having to double mash/sparge. I'm thinking of going rectangular and getting one in the 25 gallon...

    Greetings from Maine!

Hey Folks, as a reader of the forum for the last year or so I figured it was time to pony up and give back! I'm an amateur brewer from the frosty north with a dozen or so batches under my belt now. I've just made the switch to all grain and for my first batch I blew the top right off my...
