New post a picture of your pint

My latest homebrew. A clone of FFF Alpha King, modified with Citra hops to make it more like Zombie Dust. Really tasty.

    Alpha King clone modification

I have an AHS clone of FFF Alpha King with the following hop schedule: 3/4 oz Centennial - 90 min 3/4 oz Warrior - 90 min 2 oz Cascade - 0 min 1 oz Cascade - secondary fermentation 1 oz Centennial 1 oz Columbus My question is this. I have 4 oz of Citra hops that I'd like to...

My beer bottle collection 254 bottles on the wall

No more room for me and modern beer packaging. All of this was collected in the early 70's and was resurrected from boxes in my parents basement four years ago.

    Beer as Art

I have a friend who does water colors and often uses beer, wine, or spirits as his subject matter. Here's one of his popular items: He's picked a few good brews here, but I could do without the BMC stuff. I believe he recently also did a painting of a Sweetwater 420 bottle. Let me...

Just hit Ctrl+ and the size of the image will increase. It's not super clear but legible.

    Pliny

I made the partial grain version of Pliny from Austin Homebrew only boiling about 4 gallons of water. Turned out great. Although I diluted up to 5.25 gallons I had pretty significant loss due to trub in primary and secondary fermenters. I'll make this again.

Irish Red Ale Caffrey's Irish Ale clone

I used to love Caffrey's - fell in love with it in some pubs in Wales and Ireland. Bitterly disappointed in Coors about discontinuing it here in order to support their Killian's swill. I've written them twice about making it available in the U.S. I'm going to try this soon. I make almost...

    Decent Beer Bar in LA?

I've been spending time at PubCrawler and the Beermapping websites to find a decent beer bar in LA. I'm flying into Burbank next Sunday to spend three days on business. Most of my time will be spent from downtown LA up to Palmdale. I can't find anything that interests me. Toronado, Stone...

    I'm Stuck!

This was my first homebrew where I was going to be out of town for much of the fermentation, and now I'm regretting the decision. I am making the AHS clone of Green Flash West Coast IPA (partial mash version). Because of a fairly high OG of ~1.085 I double pitched the batch with White Labs...

AHS Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone?

I've made DH 60 minute clone from the BYO Clone magazine and like the results. I've made the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale clone from AHS and also liked the results. If you haven't had the commercial version of Celebration Ale, try it this coming holiday season.

    SN Celebration Ale Clone Recipe?

Brian - I don't have the real thing, but do have some remaining bottles of my clone from the BYO magazine. I'm in the Atlanta area - if you're going to be here in the next month I'd be happy to share with you. I may even still have one real bottle of Pliny the Elder that I haven't consumed...

    SN Celebration Ale Clone Recipe?

I made an S-N Celebration Ale clone from the BYO publication. I was really enjoying it, but made a Pliny the Elder clone shortly thereafter. I'm trying to drink up the Pliny while it's at its hoppiest. I'll probably have my Celebration Ale clone to get me through the month of July. I'll have...

two different Pliny the Elder clones...Which one?

Good advice - my 5 gallon batch yielded at best about 4 gallons which left me wishing for more.

Pretentious Beer Snob Brewery Labels (WARNING: Hot chicks in skimpy clothing)

You know what sex in a canoe is? F#%king next to water - that's only a name you'll want to use for a really low gravity beer. :)
