    homemade sausage stuffer?

Started with the attachment on my grinder and hated it. Moved on to a horn stuffer, hated it! Got the Grizzly and love it!! Cut my stuffing time by more than 50% and I can easily do it by myself without bothering SWMBO to help....

    Exploring "no chill" brewing

I've done several No-Chill batches using pilsner malt and have not had a DMS problem yet. I also start draining the wort into the container as soon as I turn off the flame, no waiting at all.

    Exploring "no chill" brewing

Had a No-Chill Munich Helles go onto second round of NHC, didn't place put still a decent score. Could it have been better if I "properly" chilled it? Possibly... But it might have also done better if I mashed a degree higher, used different water, more/less hops, different hops, different...

    South Lake Tahoe Beer Stuff

Looks like Mt. Tallac was still open as of last week. Went there last year and had a couple nice beers, the people were great and I'd certainly go back.

Q about Freezer Chest 4 Fermentation

Just bought the Ranco two-stage myself and should have it today. A bit of a pain having to switch my single stage control back and forth between heating and cooling. Moving the single stage to a dedicated freezer for bottled beer. On another note, for a heater I mounted a ceramic light...

    Best of Both Worlds Cheesecake

Try putting some bacon on a third of it and then cover it with the ganache. If you can remember which part of the cheesecake has the bacon you can serve that to yourself and then let them try it. Or sprinkle it on top of a small portion before the ganache firms up...

    Best of Both Worlds Cheesecake

OK, we all love beer and bacon so why not combine the two in the ultimate cheesecake! I made this for my homebrew club's Christmas party and it got rave reviews. Cheesecake Recipe: http://www.grouprecipes.com/31354/new-york-style-cheesecake.html (I left out the lemon juice and replaced...

    Beer bread and Chili

Found the recipe for the spent grain bread awhile ago and have made it several times, one of my favorite breads now. Actually having some tonight with a smoked, bacon-wrapped pork loin.

Secondary regulators not working (was Is this an appropriate regulator?)

He said that even when he opens the valves on the secondary regulators nothing happens so I don't think the guages are the problem though he should have the 0-60 or 0-30 lb. guages so that he can adjust his serving pressures once he figures out what the problem is.

Secondary regulators not working (was Is this an appropriate regulator?)

Are those the guages that came with the regulators originally? If they are then it appears you might have three "primary" regulators and I don't know if a primary will work at 35 lbs. It looks like you have it set up so that the second and third guages are only receiving whatever pressure the...

    PB2 Peanut Butter Powder Utilization

Our club got together and brewed a 5 gallon batch of Chocolate Covered Peanuts Stout for a homebrew festival this past year and it tasted great, especially as an ice cream float! We brewed up a nice Chocolate Stout and then added two jars of the peanut butter powder to secondary since I had...

buying/building a tap tower onto my chest freezer

+1 for the two separate towers idea, if you can drill one hole you can easily drill two and one slightly longer drip tray will cover all 4 taps if you mount the two towers close together... You might not always want 4 beers on tap at the same time but nice to have that option when you have the...

Better Bottle scum, how do you get rid of it?

I use hot water and oxy-clean for my Better Bottles. Will rinse as much out as I can with just a gallon or so of hot water and then fill with more hot water and a scoop of the oxy-clean, let it sit for an hour or two and rinse out, all clean and ready to brew again!

Best way to set up for 3 kegs?

I'm guessing by "small CO2 tank" you mean a 5 pound tank so that should easily be able to carb and dispense 3 kegs. As for carbing the 3 different beers, you can go the easy route and carb them all to the same level and they will still be tasty but if you truly want to carb to style then you...
