    Basil Pepper beer ideas

So my brother lives in TX and he sent me a pic of a basil/pepper beer. It was amber in color and sounds like a crazy cool idea. Any ideas what I could do to achieve this beer. I'd really like to hear all the ideas you may have. It was basil and black pepper so I'm excited to see how this might...

Adding vanilla to a smoked porter

What do you think about adding beans to the keg? Once primary is done rack it to the keg and toss in maybe four beans. Doubt they'd get sucked up in the dip tube right? Of course the steep in Vodka thing would work just a well too I guess.

Adding vanilla to a smoked porter

Hey all. I bought a smoked porter kit and was wanting to add vanilla to it. Since I make two beers at one time I'd like to avoid secondary but if I need to I can postpone the second batch. What do you all think would be a great way to introduce the vanilla. Primary, secondary, beans, or extract...

    Making a simple cider, question.

Oh good call on the brown sugar. Thx for that heads up. I'm asking about the ferm because I was planning on doing a beer at the same time. This way the chamber isn't locked up for long periods of time. I live in SoCal so the heat during the day is climbing.

    Making a simple cider, question.

This is great info. Thank you. I will blend them. Seems like the better way to go. I have a 8 gal bucket so I don't think I'll worry about blow offs. When do I add the pectin enzyme and how much? Cold crashing is a great idea. I have the ability to do that. How long do you recommend the...

Gonna push what I can through a SS mesh strainer and leave the seeds and junk out. With everything mixed well I'll...

How do you serve your kegs at parties?

So why is the yeti so crazy on their builds. They look killer but seriously 120'? I guess what I'm taking from some of the threads is that 50' of 1/4"-3/8" SS in a cooler is the right amount. Should I need to keep the keg in ice to reduce the foam up possiblity. Also should the plastic lines be...

    Jocky box

So if I build a simple coil jockey box for serving but not storing. What are the focal points. 50' coil? 100' coil? Does the keg need to be chilled? Do I need to keep it on ice? I don't want foamy beer so what's the standard line size. I want to use 5 gal Corneys so the keg is definitely on the...
