so i had some old yeast that has been kept in my fridge, left it out overnight and then added it to some 100degree water this morning. I am about to pitch it into my 1 gallon of carrot wine i mixed up last night....did i do that right? hopefully yeast is still good, i figured rehydrating...

wife wanted to name it after the dog, and keep it funny. Keept it simple with black and white themes. Its an island mist kit we are giving away as gifts, just my first attempt at home brewing.

racked wine to secondary, it had dropped to 1.009. woke up this morning and it has a little bubbling action again, not sure if it was the airation caused by moving it over or what. Im going to leave it in there for 10 days or so then check again. fingers crossed.
