Marijuana Beer - Anyone try it yet?

http://www.gourmet.com/food/gourmetlive/2011/100511/beyond-pot-brownies?currentPage=1 "...,the future of marijuana ingestion may be found at the bar; liquid extracts allow nearly any drink to be infused with cannabis, and beer and winemakers have already begun to embrace the possibilities of...

    Partial-Full Boil Question

Plan to do a full boil brew using a half-boil recipe (NB Waldo Lake Amber). (Have done about 8 other recipes converting 1/2 to full boil w/o problem). The first part of this first-time recipe has me scratching my head and here it is just about verbatim. It never says what temp or time to...

    Fermentation temp control

Buy a temp control unit and a frig or freezer. Connect the two according to the instructions with the temp control unit. Voila! You just built a temp controlled fermenter.

Never heard of any problem with the flux.

    Dual coil immersion chiller

I did the same but split the intake to run a parallel circuit in the two coils which then join back again for the outlet. Temperature differential between your cooling water and wort is the biggest factor to determine speed of wort temp drop. (Lots of math formulas out there that show that the...

    Mold in my ferm freezer

I have the same with my ferm chest freezer in a detached garage. Not much can be done due to the outdoor humidity that will find its way into the freezer. Normally that humidity would just turn to frost but keeping the unit running at ale ferm temps means the humidity will just hang in as...

    Memorial day

This Memorial Day weekend has been my biggest brewing weekend yet. On Saturday I bottled a Northern Brewer Caribou Slobber. I then worked on a new chiller. On Sunday I brewed a local HBS clone of Fuller London Porter, plus I smoked a 10 lb. pork picnic roast. Today I brewed NB's Bourbon Barrel...

    Horizontal copper coil chiller

I had built a great double-coil copper chiller set up as a a parallel circuit through the two coils. But then I went and added a ball valve, pick-up tube and DIY hop strainer to my keggle that left the coils lop-sided out of the wort where they had to sit on top of the pick-up tube. So I cut...

    Need advice for kegerator idea

Understood on shelf coils. Just picked up a used freezer this AM that I plan to use for fermentation of two batches at a time. (My current ferm frig only holds one bucket.) Had to pass on another freezer last week because of the shelf coil problem. Cutting the space between frig and freezer...

    Need advice for kegerator idea

I have a std frig with overhead frzr in laundry room that is 90% beverages (soda, beer, water, etc.). I have zero use for the frzr. Would like kegerator for 1-2 cornies PLUS space for other beverages. (Taps would have to be on the front door due to location.) I COULD use the current frig but...

Can I get some actual Oxiclean volumes rather than 'scoops'?

Loosely defined measurements such as "scoop" go with the plastic SCOOP that comes packaged with the cleaning product. The ranges you refer to are common for cleaning products. If the product you are cleaning is just a little dirty, use the lower end of the range. If really dirty, use the...
