    dont know how much 1/2 costs but i can tell you that 50 foot of 3/8 is more than enought for 5 gallons only 11 minutes if your water is cold ..Jeff

    i'd really get the 3/8 as the restriction is to great in 1/4" when hot and boiling..its a lot of restriction on 3/8 even..just a thought

    Holy cow i just bought a 50' roll at lowes to make more for my store..it was 35 bucks you have to looke for the refrigerator line or soft copper...and here they had like 5 different grades with different prices and i to only used the spring bender for the top bends..i use a gas can that was 9.5"...

    I 'm very sure you havent hurt your mash at all..its not like you turned the burner on high and left it..the heat is dissapated very fast withthe water in there..I have put the burner on many time to get a few more degrees..with the good pots that have the encapsulated bottoms you just have to...

    Actuallly you can just buy 1 20-22qt pot and i use the normall kitchen one for the litttlle other water to boil..Use the 32qt for the first mash and final boil...then when i take my grain bag out i put the 8"stainless strainer over the same pot and put two or 3 qts poured slowly over the grain...

    What he meant{in my interpretation} was that he "adjusted" for the middle of the road style like not to much or not enough but what HE likes..as to the term adjusted accordinly...So when a kit says use an oz or less to taste that is what he's reffering to...Jeff

    If they would only list the ingredients or grain types you could do that..most dont list them ...i know Austin has the items and quantities listed when you get the kit but wont tell you before hand...Jeff
