Autumn Seasonal Beer Lady Rumpkin Pumpkin Rum Ale

Only took me 5-years but brewed this again today. Went all grain with the op’s modifications to bump up og. I screwed up my volumes and finished at 5.5 gals vs my target of 5 gallons so my og was off a bit at 1.070. Thought I was finishing too low so I added some water toward the end of the...

    Blonde Ale Brulosopher's Blonde Ale

Brewed 3 weeks ago and just pulled my first pint. Had to use Crystal 20 vs 15 and Wyeast Kolsch. Everything else aligned with the original recipe. Fermented at 63. This is solid.

New England IPA Blasphemy - No Boil NEIPA

So easy...so good. I didn’t use any sugar. Went with 2oz Citra and 1oz Mosaic for whirlpool and the same after fermentation started. This would be good to try single hop variations to better understand the impact of late additions and dry hop character for different hop types. Part of my...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Brewed on 6/30. First use of the freezer fermentation chamber instead of ice bath. Looking forward to seeing how that impacts my beers going forward. Screwed up and put 2 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon in at the end of the boil. I hope that doesn’t ruin it. We’ll see I guess. Fermented at 65...

Autumn Seasonal Beer Lady Rumpkin Pumpkin Rum Ale

Just opened a bottle of this brew that I made back in August of 2015. Had my first bottle of Rumpkin last night (Avery doesn’t distribute out my way). Aside from the Rumpkin being a little sweeter, this was pretty damned close! Age is this beers friend for sure.

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Anyone ever get a green apple like flavor on this one? Third time brewing and first time with this outcome.

    Blonde Ale Murican Blonde Ale

Brewed this afternoon. I planned on lower efficiency but ended up at just over 80% which resulted in an OG of 1.060. Was wondering if this would lead to an unbalanced brew given the hop variety & schedule. Any way to ‘save’ it? Was really looking forward to this one. I went with Denny’s...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

I had the same issue with over attenuation in almost all of my brews last year. My thermometer was out of whack and I was mashing lower than my target temp. I bought a new thermometer and started hitting my numbers.

Winter Seasonal Beer Christmas in Belgium

Brewing up a batch this weekend. Hope it’s not too late in the year.

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Brewed about 5 weeks ago. Forgot to keg last week so it hung out in primary a little longer. OG of 1.069 and FG of 1.020. I really focused on managing fermentation temp this year (still no dedicated ferm chamber yet). Last years batch finished significantly lower and ended up being a little...

Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

Well...opened up my first bottle - gusher. Cracked a second - gusher. First time using CBC-1 and used less than half a package shooting for a target volume of 2.3. Pretty depressing for a 6-month project Get about 8 ounces of beer per 22 oz bottle. Anyone have any tips on fixing these? Left...

Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

I used CBC-1 at the direction of another poster in this thread (https://www.morebeer.com/products/dry-yeast-cbc1-11.html?gclid=CKOg99X2oc8CFY9bfgodDKwFxQ). I used half of the packet with some priming sugar. Couldn't tell you how it turned out though. Bottled in June and I still haven't...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Mine finished low as well and has been on gas for a few weeks now and tastes amazing. The alcohol was upfront in my sample too. No issues now though. I fermented at about 70.

Winter Seasonal Beer Holly (Christmas Ale)

Brewed this weekend and ended up getting a little better efficiency than planned. Fermenting away at about 66 right now. Probably won't keg until late October. I don't have a French press for the tea. Has anyone used another method? I have an aero press but it's not that large. I apologize...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Left mine in primary for a month and a half. Racked to an empty keg, hit with gas, and left at room temp for another month before moving to the keezer. Turned out great.
