    I was glad to see a Shiner variety pack in my local corner store. Rarely see TX beers in the NW. Hopefully that changes in the near future.

    Thanks for the advice! 45 minutes seems like a long time compared to the 15-20min i am used to. I believe i will go with a wort chiller and maybe a bucket for an ice bath. What is this prechiller you mention?

    I'd recommend checking out Brouwers and Naked City for their beer selections. As for brewpubs, Hales, Pyramid, Elysian, Pike are all good. Pyramid is great if you're trying to hit a Mariner's game before or after.
