This might be a dumb question, but should I strain anything off between the boil and the fermenter or do all the spices go into the fermenter?

My first read, taken right before sealing the fermenter, was at 66 degrees and was 1.060. My read after fermentation was 1.030 at 72 degrees. Sorry it took me so long to post this!!

I used your instructions as my first attempt to brew without a kit, but for some reason my beer came out really weak. It tastes watered down. I followed the instructions as closely as possible, so I dont know what could have happened. Any ideas?
