    Slow start 1335

Thx for chiming in. To my surprise, I found a krausen ring around the inside of the bucket last night. I just had expectations of a more vigorous fermentation given the OG, but apparently things were quietly chugging away.

    Slow start 1335

I brewed in Sunday, and have an og of 1.072. Pitched a 2L starter that fermented fine. Four days later, my 5g batch has had no activity. When aerating, I think my O2 tank was about to die because I didn't get nearly as much foam as I normally do. Should I give it a better of oxygen blast tonight...

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the clarification!

    Oatmeal Stout Yooper's Oatmeal Stout

I'm looking to do something very similar to this, basically increasing everything by 50%. Now I'm curious, why didn't you increase the hops? I was thinking to keep a similar flavor profile, the IBUs would need to be increased to about 49 with an SG of 1.080 to keep the IBU/SG ratio similar to...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

This is fantastic! Despite the low FG, it doesn't come across as feeling really thin. It still feels completely appropriate for the style, and it tastes amazing. This will be a welcomed sipper on the back porch for the remainder of the summer. Aside from having to sub Motueka for the Sorachi...

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Is this recipe truly grain to packaging in 50-60 days? Thinking about giving this a go in a couple of weeks if it'll be ready that quickly.

Just kegged my batch. FG dropped to 0.999 :pipe: Can't wait for this to be carbed!

    Casey East Bank dregs viable?

Thanks! Whatever you can find out about dregs (composition and viability) would probably be useful to most of us here.

    Casey East Bank dregs viable?

That's kinda what I figured too. I pitched them anyway, but thanks for the reminder to contact Troy.

Anyone know if there are viable dregs in Casey East Bank?

Brewing tomorrow, what to do with old yeast? 3278 and ECY20

Hmm, there's an idea. I won't have time to do a starter, so maybe I split the ecy20 between batches with the 3278 (tomorrow) and Roselare (July.)

Brewing tomorrow, what to do with old yeast? 3278 and ECY20

Thanks, maybe I'll give that a try in July. For tomorrow, should I pitch both the 3278 and Rosemarie?

Brewing tomorrow, what to do with old yeast? 3278 and ECY20

Hi folks, I'm planning to brew a lambic style tomorrow, and because I didn't know too far in advance I'd be brewing, I am limited with my yeast options. I hit up the local brew store today, thinking I was just going to get 3278 and call it a day. I came home with a pack of Roselare (March...
