    Good brew in Pittsburgh?

I'd have to say Fathead's for food and huge selection of beer or if sticking to a micro/brew pub mentality, the Church Brew Works.

    Injuries sustained while brewing

I slipped while trying to dump sparge water into the MLT and of course, instead of the water going forward, it fell back on to me with my face taking most of the 180 degree wrath. Adding insult to injury, when I fell to the ground ravaging like a loon from the pain, I hit my fryer stand (still...

dry hopped with Goldings and Fuggles... can't detect the aroma

    Hops and chickens

According to the document written by Crannog Ales, chickens are beneficial to the hopyard. They serve 3 really good purposes: eat bugs and grasshoppers that can destroy a crop, scratch soil surfaces to help keep weeds down and promote aeration, and leave chicken sh*t which is high in nutrients!

    Small farm

I guess I should have said I am actually in SW Pennsylvania but NY is the closest I could find anyone who is growing on a scale larger than a couple plants in the back yard.

    Small farm

Me and a coworker are doing the exact same thing at my place this year. I contacted a small grower in NY and the harvesting labor was/is the factor when trying to decide to go bigger. His exact words were "if you can figure out a way to get them off the vine efficiently, the sky is the limit."...
