    PH Meter Recommendations?

I've been using the yellow Dr.meter 0.01 High Accuracy Pocket Size pH Tester for a few years now. No complaints so far. It has .01 accuracy, calibrates easily, and it came with the blue TDS Tester when I bought it. Cheap, accurate, and, if it breaks, it's no biggie to order another one.

similar experience here. first batch I brewed (back when we all thought it was a brett strain) came out with massive fruit juice notes, hops forward, dropped crisp and clean after a few months, and slowly developed some extremely pleasant "funk" notes. I've since brewed with it 3 or 4 times...

    La Fin Du Monde Clone?

Mine turned out a really good tripel / strong golden, but by no means a clone. I don't think you can come close without using the Unibroue strain. If I did it again, I would also attempt adding some honey or light candi during fermentation.

    Kefir Beer

I tossed some kefir grains (that I had been using in milk) into the second runnings from my amber ale this past weekend. I wondered about the hops' effects on the grains, too, but I did lightly hop it. I also added a small amount of wlp090 slurry from a previous batch. It's just a one gallon...

I'm thinking about brewing up a batch of Graff to rack on top of the "brett cake" when I bottle my latest 100% Brett Trois IPA. Has anyone had experience with racking onto this strain? I'm also thinking of beefing up my graff recipe to (hopefully) keep the brett from drying it out too much.

Regulator gauge reads empty on new tank

sorry Yoop. I meant to add that I cannot read the TW on this crappy old tank. stamps are mostly illegible. Thanks for the input, everybody. I'm going to take this pos back in the morning.

Regulator gauge reads empty on new tank

OK... I have checked the forums but have not found anything that quite matches my problem. I am on my third tank of co2 since starting to keg. Both previous tanks have lasted a good long time, and the reading on the gauge always starts high, then slowly decreases over time. Well, the second...

good stuff. this is exactly what I was thinking, but it's great to hear it put this way. another question - are people generally cold crashing before bottling their all-brett beers? mine has been in the fermenter for roughly 6 weeks, and it's down to 1.008 SG. it is already very clear. I've...

great resource here. subbed. I have a Galaxy-hopped IPA going right now with 644. Can't wait to get it in the bottles. here's a more general question for you guys - what do you do about equipment isolation for your all-brett batches? I already have separate equipment for my sour / mixed culture...
