Yeah I spray it with a starsan solution I have sitting around in a spray bottle to see if it is leaking. But hate having to check it every time I open and close it.

Same, do the valves just need to be replaced?

Just curious if anyone else tried this, or if the original owner has tried it again. Did anyone try to add any hops? I know it is an old thread but figured other had to have found this too.

I have bottle 3 batches now in Grolsch bottles and a 2 little growler with a swing top lid. All have been fine and carbed up nicely in a normal 1-2 weeks. The 2 liter growlers don't fit in the fridge very easy though.
