Also I'm assuming they had an adapter for thenAmerican spec threads on your tank. Or do you have one? I was trying to find a UNI 4406 coupler nut in the event I get an Italian cylinder I'll be able to attach my regulator to it.
We just cam from England and I had the same problem there as you needed a commercial account(pub, store, business) in order to get a cylinder and have it filled. I worked my way around it so sounds the same here. Sounding valve is great to ferment under pressure but doesn't help in maintain...
Very happy to have discovered this thread and that it's been updated recently. I just arrived to Italy earlier this month, stationed in Livorno. I brought my whole set up with me. Only thing I'll need to get going is ingrediemts and my biggest concern, CO2. I have a US spec 10lb cylinder...

That's great to know. I can handle getting grains over here, but hips are expensive as hell at 100g per pop. I'm going to try and order a couple of pounds from the states. Way cheaper in bulk. Thanks a lot, was worried about that.
Dry yeast has a longer shelf life as opposed to liquid yeast. 24 months vs 6, somwhere around there. Without knowing the your exact pitching rates(billions of cells) and from the sound of your starter, a packet of saf05 wouldnt necessarily propogate that much. if you pitched a packet that...
