Has anyone silver soldered the 1.5 TC radius face solder flange on a fermenter. If so, how did it work under pressure and cold crashing with the temp changes. I'm thinking of doing this to add sample port to my stainless fermenter.

Love Love, my 25gal BME. No more leaf hops, pellets only now. Whirlpool all the time. I also kettle sour in it. I put a thermowell in and chill down to about 90deg, pitch the lacto, wrap the lid on with plastic wrap. When PH is where i want, I take off the plastic and fire the burner and off we go.

Ok,the beer has stopped fermenting at 1.012. Now come the real test, I'm cold crashing it tonight in an upright freezer without opening the fermenter so I'm not removing the beerbug. I'll see if it survives the cold.
